SMART LOCKERS FOR MODERN WORKPLACES

The smartest way to handle courier deliveries, offering 24/7 access

WHY SMART LOCKERS FOR YOUR WORKPLACE?

Office deliveries have often posed challenges for employers, especially since the arrival of online shopping. All businesses want to provide flexibility to their employees, but mailrooms and offices can quickly become cramped with packages. The necessity for working from home since the beginning of 2020 has only exacerbated this problem. With hybrid models becoming the norm, the delivery box pile does not just last for one morning — it might be days before staff are on site to collect.

To help you tackle these challenges, SPS has developed a Smart Locker solution to streamline and simplify your delivery process.

SPS Smart Lockers offer a secure location to store delivered packages prior to collection. Your employees will be able to collect business and personal packages from the lockers 24/7, at a time and day that suits them, with a completely secure PIN- or barcode-based collection process. The process also supports peer-to-peer delivery, creating a standardised handover process between colleagues to support clear desk policies, without needing all team members on-site.

Ultimately, Smart Lockers help strike a balance between the mail room and office staff workloads, adding efficiencies for the entire process.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Smart Lockers work with specialized software that links up to lockers and enables employees to be directly notified of their deliveries. Deliveries are then placed into one of the lockers, with the recipient notified of the exact locker and unique PIN or barcode needed to access their parcel.

There’s no need for staff to register or download an app to receive the updates. Everything can be delivered directly to their email account for absolute ease of use. Our lockers are fully customizable depending on your needs and office design. You can choose the numbers of lockers, size of the lockers and their layout — anything from a usual rectangular design to something more dynamic.

SMART LOCKERS PROCESS

  • Package Arrives: Item arrives via normal delivery channel and subject to same security screening processes.
  • Package Booked In: Items identified for Smart Locker placement are booked in under the ‘Locker’ service through the software.
  • Package Delivered to Locker: Item is taken to the locker and on the screen Operative selects ‘Deliver Item’.
  • Recipient Notified: Upon closing the door, the locker software sends the recipient the door number and unique access code.
  • Package Picked Up: Upon arrival at the lockers, the recipient selects ‘Collect Item’ and enters the provided door number and access code.
